Counter Strike Global Offensive (aka CS:GO), is an online tactical first-person shooter in which you have to beat another team using your skill, knowledge of the map and luck... Speaking about the luck, I think there is no room for luck in this game ;)
It was released on August 21, 2012 and made available for Microsoft Windows and OS X on Steam, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Linux version was released in September 2014.
Like in the original Counter Strike, Global Offensive is a objective-based multiplayer game in which you join the Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist team and then you and your team attempt to complete your objectives (like planting a bomb on site) or wipeout the entire enemy team.
Game is played in rounds and at the start of the each round, every player buys weapons, armor and granades with the money that he gets as a reward and the amount that he gets is based on their performance. Player earns money by positive actions, like saving a hostage or killing the enemy. On the other hand, if you kill a hostage or your lovely teammate that you adore so much, certain amount of money will be taken from you.

Game features five modes for online play:
1. Classic mode: Competative - In this mode you queue up and join two teams of five against each other in a 30 rounds match. At the round 15, team change sides. Game can end up in a draw or if one team surrenders.
2. Classic mode: Casual - word casual says it all. Every player at the beginning of the round gets its armor( Kevlar + Helmet and a defusal kit for Counter-Terrorists in bomb defusal mode). Other differences include a limit of three grenades with only one flashbang. Friendly fireand team collision are disabled by default, and require a server command to enable.
3. Arms Race - In Arms Race mode, each player gets a new weapon after every kill and he must make his progress throught every weapons in the game until he reaches to the golden knife. When he gets a kill with the golden knife, he wins the match ;)
4. Demolition - In demolition mode, players take turns attacking and defending a single bombsite in a series of maps designed for fast-paced gameplay. As in Arms Race, players advance through a sequence of firearms when they register a kill and they try to reach the ultimate weapons - powerful sniper rifle!
5. Deathmatch - normal mode that consists of 10 minute matches. Players try to reach the highest score possible with any weapon they like.
