Game can be played in two modes: Singleplayer and multiplayer. Single-player campaign covers an elite unit of soldiers that goes on high priority missions all around the world. You are playing as a soldier Recker and by going throught the mini sandbox style levels you`ll visit countries like Azerbaijan, China and North America. Instead of relying only on your weapon, you`ll have at your disposal two campaign-only functions: Engage Command and Tactical Binocular. In Engage Command you command Recker`s squadmates by giving them orders to attack any hostiles that are in your line of sight. Tactical Binocular mode is similar to laser-designator tool which allows you to spot and identify friendly and enemy units, weapon stashes, explosives and objectives on the field. By identifying (tagging) your enemies, you help your teammates to take out enemy faster then usual.Campaign also contains certain assignments which you need to achieve and as a reward, you`ll unlock weapons that can be used in a multiplayer game.

Battlefield 4`s single player campaign takes place in 2020, six years after its predecessor. For the last six years tension between United States and Russia were always high and to put the cream and cherry on that, China is almost at the brink of war, as Admiral Chang is trying to overthrow China`s goverment. If he succeeds, Chang will have full support from Russia which could put United States in a bad position.

After the short introduction of single player mode, we are getting to the sweetest thing of the whole game and the main reason why Battlefield is called THE BATTLEFIELD. And that`s the multiplayer mode. In multiplayer mode, you can be part of a huge battles that can contain up to 64 players. And the best part is that while there is all hell breaking lose on the battlefield, you can drive an armored truck, a tank, attack choppers, quad, boats, jets and more. But remember. This is a team sport. While you are flying a heli, your teammates are firing from minigun or firing RPG from the seat next to the minigun. Each round consist of two teams while there are three possible factions to play with - United States, China and Russia.

Now focus,guys. ;) Each team can have several smaller squad that can hold up 5 players - 1 squad leader that can give orders and 4 soldiers and that is the perfect thing because you can gather up with your friends and have your own private squad on the battlefield. Take the tank and attack helicopter and work as a team ;)

There are also two new modes in multiplayer: New Commander mode and Spectator mode.

In Commander mode gives one player on each team real time strategy like view of entire map and ability to give orders to teammates. Commander can observe whole battlefield from the top and can help his team by deploying various vehicles, supplying them with weapon drops (Supply crates) or order in missile strike on the enemy positions.

Spectator mode allows you to fly over the battlefield and see the battle from up close and witness the full action going on without getting hurt.

Maps included in the main Battlefield 4 are Siege of Shanghai, Paracel Storm, Zavod 311, Lancang Dam, Flood Zone, Hainan Resort, Rogue Transmission, Dawnbreaker, Operation Locker and Golmud Railway.

Game modes offer Domination Mode, Conquest, Rush, Obiteration, Defuse, Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.

There are four weapon and equipment kits that you can choose: Assault, Recon, Engineer and Support.

China Rising is the first expansion pack for Battlefield 4.

It features four new maps:

- Silk Road

- Guilin Peaks

- Altai Range

- Dragon Pass

China Rising brings us one new game mode: Air Superiority which is basically

conquest version match with helicopter and jets only.

Second Assault is second expansion that brings us four new maps:

- Operation Metro 2014

- Firestorm 2014

- Caspian Border 2014

- Gulf of Oman 2014

There is one new vehicle DPV (buggy), it brings back to life old game mode Capture the Flag and five brand new weapons.

Naval Strike - third expansion pack which puts naval combat into focus. Maps are large and open battlefields surrounded by water with small or medium islands which can be used as a nice sniping or rpg point. Of course, it only works if you hide in the bushes. Naval Strike includes four new maps:

- Lost Islands

- Wave Breaker

- Operation Mortar

- Nansha Strike

There is a new game mode - Carrier Assault mode which is reimaginining of Titanmode from BF2142. You can win Carrier Assault by capturing conquest points which then allow your missile launchers fire missiles on enemy aircraft carrier.

There is also new Amphibious Hovercraft Vehicle, five new weapons and two new gadgets.

Dragon`s Teeth is another briliant expansion pack which again, brings us four new maps:

- Pearl Market

- Lumphini Garden

- Propaganda

- Sunken Dragon

New weapons? Of course! ... Favorite Desert Eagle ;)

Final Stand is currently the final expansion for Battlefield 4 until Night Operations DLC see`s the daylight. Final Stand is all about high-tech weapons and equipment. We have HT-95 Levkov Tank which hovers so there are no obstacles on your way,Rorsch Mk-1 railgun, Snowmobile and a bow (yeah, with arrows). As we all know so far, this DLC also comes with four new maps:

- Hammerhead

- Giants of Karelia

- Operation Whiteout

- Hangar 21
